Class of 21/12/11 - I couldn't recommend this cooking class highly enough, nor the excellent Bumbu Bali Restaurant. Such a well-rounded class - a day in the life of a Balinese mother, markets, over-fishing, a Balinese breakfast (sorry, I have to say it... tastes all the same and kinda sponge-like) in lovely surrounds. An enthusiastic and inquiring presenter giving an informative and thoroughly professional cooking class (as was in evidence, for example, on seeing the spotless cooking area - sorry, important to me as it means someone takes care). I think there is a very good range of recipes on the day's program. Overall, an interesting and enjoyable day for me as I picked up new information/facts about this and that, plus, my perception of Balinese cuisine changed. Balinese food is sublime. Thanks Heinz.

Hello Heintz and the Team! THANK YOU SO MUCH for amazing time at Bumbu Bali Cooking School. We have just returned to Japan today, after participated in your cooking school just 3days ago, which was the most amazing experience we've ever had. Thisprogram went beyond our expectation 1200%! The market tour at Jimbaran was so excited and interesting because we can see the "real life" of Balinese people. The food of Bali we learned and tasted was also excellent. Heintz (owner of Bumbu Bali) showed and told us many things about Bali and Java, from which we learned a lot about Balinese's Life, Nature, Indusry, Food and Future. It makes us "rethink" about our modern life we live. For all who visit Bali, I strongly recommend to prticipate in this Cooking Class with Market Tour. Your satisfaction is guaranteed!

Hi everyone at Bumbu Bali 2, thank you for an absolutely fantastic dinner. Seven of us feasted on a three course meal including the most amazing suckling pig...... Totally memorable .... After this dinning experience .... Our plans to return to Bali next year will not only include the cooking class but also to enjoy the more of culinary delights you guys produce..... We participated on 20/6/11. What an eye opening experience both markets were to visit. We loved the breakfast and would love to be reminded of the names of the food we ate for breaksfast as I dont recall anyt names only the lovely taste and textures. Had a booking for 27 people ( my son\'s pre wedding dinner) they could not have been more helpful with the organizing ect... The food was amazing, everyone had fantastic time, it was like we were having our own private party! Will definitely go back this year, will even do their cooking class which the are renown for! Hi Heinz! It has been two and a half years since we took your cooking class - to this day it is still one of our fondest memories of our time in Indonesia! We have cooked several recipes since then; even made the spice pastes. Tonight, we made the pork and sweet soya sauce stew which brought back all those happy memories once more. We just wanted to say thanks!

Thank you very much for the certificate and the newsletter. I am very
fortunate to be part in the program, even though it was raining cats and
dogs that day. It was an amazing experience, which I’m taking with me for
the rest of my life. Hopefully I’ll be able to go to Bali again soon and
spend some more time there…
Just for the records, I have some friends planning to go to Bali this year,
and not only the course, but the restaurant and the hotel have been
recommended. Also my personal travel agent and another traditional travel
agency in Sao Paulo have put the course on their primary suggestions for
their clients itinerary in Bali. Hopefully you guys will host many more
Brazilians in your future classes.
Please don’t forget to be in touch whenever any of you decide to come to
South America. It’ll be a pleasure to show you guys around.

What a fantastic, authentic Bali restaurant. Everything from the service to the food will leave a lasting memory. Although we were on Bali only for a few days, we immediately booked the next night ! We are planning another trip to Bali and we will book many meals at this wonderful restaurant.

Rumah Bali and Heinz's Bumbu Bali restaurants are fantastic. I have stayed there with friends, and with my family, several times and would recommend this as a Balinese experience not to be missed. My most recent visit was in June/July 2010. Lovely villas, beautiful gardens, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, great food in a relaxing environment all make the trip from Aus and UK worth while. The cooking school is certainly worth adding to ones culinary expertise! We'll certainly visit again.

We just returned home after a week at Rumah Bali. My husband, Tony, took your cooking class, and we spent our last evening at Bumbu Bali. We agree that the whole package - hotel, cooking school and restaurant - created an experience that we will always treasure. My Sister and I did the cooking school in April, What an amazing day!!! Im a chef and can not go on enough about how much i enjoyed the day. The day I arrived home from Bali I stopped off and went shopping at our nearby Asian supermarket that stocked everything i needed and had a spice base on the stove before I even unpacked my suitcase. And have not stopped cooking a little bit of Bali everyday. Its an credit to Heinz and his team for providing such an interesting and informative day especially debunking certain methods of cooking.

Hi! My girlfriend and I took the cooking class on Feb 22nd and were told we could print out our completion certificates on-line. Unfortunately I seem to figure out how to even find the certificates! Could you help? The class was fabulous- Chefs Heinz and Bagus have an obvious passion for Balinese cuisine and work very well together. Their style of teaching is among the best I have ever experienced (and I\'ve taken many classes over the years). This course was the highlight of a two week trip to Bali.
Not that the other aspects were not enjoyable, but this introduction to Balinese cooking (and various discussions and teaching surrounding food science generally) was terrific. No doubt as time passes this day will be what I remember about this holiday.
