Greetings from the always magic island of Bali. We hope you had a great start into 2003.
As you all know, Bali has been rather hard hit by the after math of October 12 bombing, and the uncertainty of a possible Iraqi war.
In many ways we were fortunate with the current situation and have seen a speedy return of customers back to Bumbu Bali Restaurant & Cooking School and Rumah Bali Balinese Village.

Since the opening in 1997, we have received a tremendous respond to Bali's only thorough Balinese restaurant, and seen a steady growth in the numbers of participants in our popular cooking classes. We now have used the last few weeks to complete renovate the intimate surroundings. Changed the floor throughout the restaurant and in the kitchen, polished the marble, repainted all pavilions, and most importantly completely rebuild our outside kitchen. Still looking the same, however we made it a lot more efficient and with it hopefully be able to improve the quality of the food, and increase the speed of service.
No need to say that we look forward to welcome many of you back for a great fest of Balinese food hopefully very soon.
